    Bear Cub Hit By Car

         Today there was an article on the MSN.com website about a black bear cub that was hit by a car and killed in North Carolina. What the responding officer said and was later reported was nothing short of bad. Read the rest of this entry »

    Double Barrel Rifle!

         After a quick morning bow hunt today, I had to run over to my taxidermist to drop off a Widgeon Drake that my oldest boy took this weekend. As always the trip to his shop was an experience that left me with more wisdom than what I came with. While there, I always hear the tall tales of the people who have stopped by to drop game off to be worked on as well as some new unique item or story that he has picked up since the last time I saw him.     Minnesota Baiting Ban

         It seems that the state of Michigan isn’t the only state that is having trouble with illegal baiting of deer. Here in Michigan it use to only be a problem in DMU 452 which is the TB hot zone, now it is going to be a real issue in the entire lower peninsula with the CWD baiting ban. Not to be outdone by the state of Michigan, the state of Minnesota has it’s own set of problems tied to illegal baiting. Read the rest of this entry »

         Last night I found an article concerning the economy and how it relates to hunting licenses sold. One would think that in this tough economic times that hunting numbers would suffer. Apparently that is not the case.

    CWD Found In Wyoming Moose!
