    New Addition To The Family!

Posted by MikeAdams on September 25, 2008

I have an announcement to share with you all. I have a new addition to the family! No we were not expecting again! No we didn’t buy another dog. Four kids and three dogs are plenty thank you very much!     This new addition came in at 34″ long! And 61 pounds! That is a big boy let me tell you! It has beautiful coloring and I counted all the limbs and it is good and healthy. I would like to introduce you to my new Bowtech Guardian compound bow! It came with its own birth certificate! I held it like a newborn when I took it out of the box for the first time and I had to show it off to all the guys at the range.
Today I took it for its first check up to the bow doctor. I went in and there were other dads there with their bows getting them checked out before the season begins as well. It was pretty cool showing off the new boy to the other dads. Of course like all dads, I think mine is the best one! When you get your new boy, it is always the best, brightest, smartest, and fastest of any other newborn boys around. The doctor said it was just fine. But he did make a few suggestions and made some adjustments to it to make sure it was in perfect order.

We checked out its sight, with a new HHA micro adjustable single pin sight and a new G5 peep sight. Now we can see clearly! We also checked out it’s holding ability with a new RipCord drop away arrow rest. And lastly we put a STS on it to stop string vibration! Don’t want the little fella to vibrate too much!

All in all it shoots like a dream and it is really quiet! You don’t hear that too much about newborns! Now all I have to do is to buy it a new cradle to keep it in. The one I have from the other bow is too small. I can’t wait to take him on his first hunting trip this season!

Congrats on the new addition to the family:)

My “son” looks very similar to yours in some respects, and even comes from the same gene pool (Diamond). And I’m very fond of him.

I also have an STS and a ripcord and I’m very happy with ‘em. He adjusted very well to them as well.

Sounds pretty cool. You’re not being a very good “dad”. All dads have to show pictures of their newborn.

I would have enclosed a photo of the new guy, but I ran out of room in my photo album. I will have to make a few adjustments so I can show him off.

Hey! I think we were in the maternity ward at the same time! My new born was a few hours earlier then yours but delivered to the same hospital! We might have some explaining to do though cause they look like twins! though mine is a little chunkier at 65 lbs. I have an appointment for his follow-up exam this morning, though everything should be good to go. Same G5 but I’ve dropped the trophyridge in favor of a truglow extreme. Also, I’m letting the litte fellow dress up in an Octane Hostage Pro to help hold on to things this year. Maybe we should have their pictures taken together for the family photo album. I can’t wait to introduce him to the great outdoors and our hunting tradition… I have a feeling he’ll take to it like a duck to water (sorry Mikey, just a metephor)

…just back from the doctors…said the little bugger was just beautiful. Gonna have to keep an eye on him though cause he’s fast and realy quiet. Did the standard office visit stuff…checked his peep(ers),etc… gave him his first paper test…passed in flying colors on the first try! now I’m gonna show him some pretty colored targets and then it’s into the woods with’im…

      wahoo!
