It's been many years since I've seen a bald eagle. When I was stationed in the Aleutians the island I was on was a bold eagle sanctuary. Eagle were everywhere. We used to toss them hamburgers at the chow hall and they'd come diving down to snatch them. They are awesome birds, but they become annoying like crows after having to deal with the for a year. I was a telephone lineman and they'd be on the poles giving me dirty looks when I was climbing. We used to drive into the dump at night, turn on the headlights and blast rats by the hundreds with our shotguns. We'd pile up the rats and in the morning they'd be gone. The eagles liked their midnight snack. Have a great time Mike and write when you get home. Squirrel hunting opens Monday and Jamie and I are all set to go. I'm also taking Tuesday off to hunt. I love it up in the striats area but unfornately I have been up there for a couple years. Actully that last I was up there I got stranded in the UP because the Big Mac was closed due to wind and I had to get a room there. Normally I wouldn't have cared but it was November 14th and I wanted to be down state for the opening day of gun season. Oh well I could have been stranded in a lot worst places. Man am I jealous.
