Delta Waterfowl

There is a new local Delta Waterfowl chapter in Michigan. It is in the town of Holly, which is about 15 minutes south of Flint, MI.
This local Delta Waterfowl chapter is called the Holly Waterfowlers, and was started last week with their first organizational meeting held in Holly, MI. The elected president and organizer of this local is Chuck Parr, who is also a Pro Staff member of the Up North Journal. This Delta Waterfowl chapter is the most southeastern chapter in the state of Michigan. Chuck is recruiting members from the Thumb Region of Michigan as well as anyone in the southeastern part of the state all the way down to Detroit.
His goals with this chapter is to work with local DNR and state game authorities to help manage and better maintain duck habitat. He will use duck nesting houses for cavity nesting ducks along with Mallard hen houses built by Delta Waterfowl members. He also wants to strive to help take young hunters out for annual duck hunts in the area. These youth hunts are a way for the local hunters in the chapter to give back to the local community and educate and encourage youngsters to get out into the field.
He is starting a membership drive for the local chapter which will cost $25 annually for the membership. If you would like to become a local chapter member of Delta Waterfowl then contact Chuck Parr at: chuckyd157@yahoo.com . We want to see this local chapter flourish and help out the youth and wildlife in the local area. You can also check out more about what Delta Waterfowl is all about at their webiste.
