Shooting Last Week Gives Ammunition To Support Change In Old Law
Last week in Virginia somewhere on the Appalachian Trail a convicted murderer shot two campers for no reason. 54 year old Randall Lee Smith allegedly shot two campers that he met earlier that afternoon. The two campers said, he was having a meal with them and suddenly told them he had to leave, when he stood up he began to shoot them. Both survived the ordeal and Smith was later captured. He mysteriously died in his jail cell on Saturday. Smith was accused and convicted back in 1981 of killing two hikers in that same area. Cases like this is exactly why we need to have the restrictions lifted on the Conceal Carry in National Parks and Wildlife Refuges. Anyone who says that there is no reason for carrying a firearm in these areas, needs to read this story. This was a convicted killer who murdered two people in this same wilderness area almost 30 years ago, who tried to do it again this week! Once again I urge you to let your voice be heard, use this link, and submit your comment to the National Parks agency before June 30th!

It sure sounds like this criminal didn’t care what the law said about guns in the park…I guess only law abiding folks obey the laws. Let’s hope they change the law so that law abiding folks can protect themselves from criminals who don’t care about the law or others!
