Early Antlerless Season Is Set
May 24, 2008
By: Mike Adams At the May meeting of the Natural Resource Commission in Lansing, the plans for an early antlerless deer season in Michigan was approved.
The season will be for five days set aside in September. The 18th - 22nd is the time you will need to take off work to partake in this hunt. There was a lot of discussion among hunters and NRC officals to come up with this date. Not everyone was happy with the decision or the dates. The areas available for this hunt are the Southern Zone in the Lower Peninsula, the five county TB Zone in the northeastern part of the Lower Peninsula and Iosco County.

After a little internet searching, reading, and checking up on this stuff I found it’s a pretty well established product in Canada and hails from Quebec where they have this funny habit of speaking a lot of French. Thus the name, Jig-A-Loo, and the company’s claim it derives from a saying they have up north, “I’ve got it!”
